not coaster MODERATOR
Was anybody else here a fan? I haven't heard them in years. My favorite J.A. album was "Bark". I saw Grace Slick on TV a few months ago. She's turned into quite a normal person??!! :D No more Rock 'n Roll for her. Where's Jorma and some of the others these days? Tedster
Jorma and one other alumnus (I forget who) have some band somewhere. Do a web search. Recently there was a "Behind the Music" on VH1. A lot of interviews with Kantner, Slick, etc... Grace kinda pisses me off. She's saying "I don't rock and roll anymore, 'cause a 55 year old woman shouldn't be doing that". To which I say BULLSHIT! You are NEVER too old to rock and roll. The day I stop rocking they might as well bury my sorry ass. But, if she wants to be a party pooper, she can do what she wants. Wewus432
Jorma Kaukonen is in NYC, June 16th at The Bottom Line and July 7th McCabe's Guitar Shop, Santa Monica. Check the website for more dates-http://www.hottuna.com/tour.htm. I saw Hot Tuna as the backup band for The Grateful Dead right before Jerry Garcia died and they rocked the house. Jorma also owns and sometimes teaches at a guitar camp in Ohio called The Fur Peace Ranch- http://www.furpeaceranch.com/

Uh Clem
I love Hot Tuna - have not seen them in a while though - thanks for "reviving" them in my mind. Steve Powell - Bull Moon Digital www.bullmoondigital.com
Kendrix
Water song off the Burgers album is one of my favorite instrumentals of the era. Its great to play when Im trying out an acoustic guitar. Jack is one of the best bassists as well- very distinctive sound and style. Their shows went on forever- fueled by a chemical filled intermission Im sure.
