Dan South Posted April 15, 2002 Posted April 15, 2002
Originally posted by Lee Flier: Other acceptable terms for this person include "skank" and "hosebeast." :)
This reminds me of a George Carlin routine. (paraphrased from memory, with apologies to George) -- There are a lot of groups in this country that want to control what you can say, because that way, they can control what you think. Like the feminsts, for example. I think that women should have the same rights as men, but they take it too far. They want to neuter the language. I don't mind calling the clerk behind the counter a salesperson, but should a "manhole cover" be called a "personhole cover?" Should a "ladies' man" be called a "person's person?" Would a "mother's boy" be called a "parent's child?" Do you really want to stay up and watch "Late Night with David Letterperson?" That's what I mean, they take it too far. They get really upset if you use any sort of gender reference in you language. Oh, but it doesn't take much to piss off the feminists. Oh, no! All you need to do is go down to NOW headquarters or the offices of Ms. Magazine and yell out, "Which one of you little cupcakes wants to come home, cook me a meal, and give me a blowjob?" That ought to it. If you REALLY want to get her attention, call her a "cumcatcher." :D The Black Knight always triumphs!
