oliveloafe
I'm in college and my buddy and i are trying to start up a basement studio for doing demos for bands we know and like. We don't plan to make much money from this but from doing remote recording demos for musicians needing a simple demo i.e. violinists, and the like. My question regards pricing and any advice you guys might have on going about it (both the studio and the remote recording) would be greatly appreciated. Equipment list: G4 450 dual processor G4 350 with cdrw motu 896 rode nt 1000; a couple of 58's; and other various radio snack mics drums, guitars, bass, keyboards, etc mackie 1604 vlz alesis M1 monitors Digi 001 any advice is greatly appreciated. thanks

What was I doing? I'm just the janitor around here. I've charged garage bands $300-$400 per song. If it's going to be more than 8 hrs total than cover your butt in advance. My gear is similar to yours.
