The only thing on this list that I gave a shit about was Deep Throat's identity. That said, once I knew the name and the story, I was satisfied. Why it took another two weeks for the story to die is anyone's guess.

The rest? Feh.

PH is only popular because there's video proof that she likes the "pearl necklaces" ;)

Other than that, I cannot explain its popularity.....

Whichever missing person of the moment that the media somehow chooses to focus on - out of thousands of people.

The opinions of newspeople/media tallking heads. When I see something like Larry King intervieweing Dan Rather, or some other newsertainment shows inerviewing John Stossel I just dont get it.

The media is so infatuated with itself, so self absorbed, they think they are all celereties and that their opinions are newsworthy. Ridiculous.

How about which movie is on top at the box ofice each weekend. Since when did this become a hot news item?

Check out some tunes here:

Just ignore it all! You're not going to find any diamonds in the dungheap...

I totally agree. But one must remember that one man's garbage is another man's treasure. :D

You know...occasionally you can find something good in the trash.

Of course, growing up in the inner city meant dumpster diving was a typical activity of the youth. Swimming in drainage ditches was another top recreational pursuit.:D
