analogman1
Hello foax! I'm trying to figure out the best **NON COMPUTERIZED** approach to generate grooves. I'm interested mostly in world beats, like those found on the Roland World expansion card. Rather than buy this card, I'm considering getting a sampler and some "World" CD's... maybe a phrase sampler??? I just want something that won't be obslolete tomorrow....a sampler seems to have a longer "shelf life" than any synths. (By the way, I own quite a few synths so I'm not exactly anti-synth). I'm wondering if I could possibly bypass buying the sampler and just get a World Beat CD, and then pop the groove (wave) into my Korg D1600 recorder instead, and just loop it from there. Your expert opinions are ALWAYS welcome! Thanks, Big Tom from New York Tom Nord Electro 5D, Modal Cobalt 8, Yamaha upright piano, numerous plug-ins...
