theom
We all know the famous sound of the abbey road auto double tracking effect right? I wish waves or BF would rent one of the 3 or 4 of these things still in existance, do some measurements and code a nice high quality digital model of it. I'd love to get this sound for my rtas rig. I know of no plug that will do it. Or even come close. Another request would be the mico-pitch shift on a eventide H3000, the random modulating stereo micro shifting couldn't be that hard to code. HA, easy for me to say. Anyone else ready for these plugs? Or are they out there and I don't know it? theo
Philip OKeefe
Count me in! For years, I've felt that the answer was in some sort of randomized delay that fluctuated over a user defined range (say, 50ms pre and post of the "original" signal) WITH randomized modulation of pitch over a user defined range (+/- 20 cents). Something like this would do a pretty credible job of replicating the effect of a singer closely double-tracking their part, and still avoid the predictable "artificial" effect of a constant pitch / delay setting.
