BUT, how do they feel about underage sex with Animals while doing drugs?
Well, who says the left wing is all about underage sex with aniimals and doing drugs. Sure it happens, but it's not only people who have leftward leaning views. I'm not sure on the church's stance on drugs, but I'd guess they're against underage sex with animals.

i see it as just another case of bored/self-righteous christian types marching their ego up and down i came through catholic colleges for highschool and have never seen so much hypocrasy. i think both catholicism and christianities constant reworking of history and world events is a dangerous and self fulfilling action i am however still strong of my belief in a God. before i get flamed, i will just make very clear one major issue here.... the "Bible" is a book written by men... not even a BOOK. historically (and remember, i got all this from my cathoilic education where we studied theology) the Bible is a composition of essays, letters and manuscripts from various sources. basically they threw together what they could of interest relating to the life of Christ and His father... now in the first translations scholars were able to create portfolios on the writers, thus creating an image of who they were, what their motives of writing were, weather their letters were "righteous" enough to include in the compendium of Christianity... even with this intial bias in the collection of works later known as the Bible we are still able to see the print of varied humanity and THEIR BELIEFS AND EXPERIENCES which make up THEIR writings there is no evidence of verifying factualities and i know im getting flamed for saying this but how do people justify QUOTING from a collection of manuscripts written WELL in the past and translated COUNTLESS TIMES i heard a nice quote in a movie of all things, which sums up my thoughts on the matter... "religion shouldnt be about BELIEF... belief is too hard to alter, it should be an IDEA" crusades, corrupt popes, warring popes, catholic church during the Nazi reign, spoanish inquisition, wacko churches now stealing from desperate people worldwide, "faith healers", missionaries, 5am television evangelists... the list goes on can we just live without all this crap. i may have done the science degree thing but im still spiritual. i dont need to enforce that on other people though. re-writing the bible? doesnt concern me. shouldnt concern anyone really. let the wackos do what they must, we'll et on with our lives in the real world just some thoughts.

Hey there... I posted those definitions to potentially help everyone when they decide to use some commonly misused/abused terms. I certianly didn't mean to label anyone in any way. Be whatever you wanna be. Read what you wanna read. Worship what you wanna worship. But please, please.... record my band for free.

Do the two greatest commandments (love god, love others like yourself) and the rest is just details. Getting worked up about so-called "PC" rewrites is pointless. Is the underlying message the same? Yes. Faith is belief without knowledge, and obsession over minor details shows a lack of it, in my view. The bible was written by a bunch of different people, some of them unknown (esp. in the new testament), in a different time, and in different languages. Slapped together this is called the bible. Don't people have a hard enough time communicating in the same language in the same time? Modernizing keeps the message clear. (Ever read works -- religious or not -- from even a century ago? That can be some pretty tough reading.) As for Hillary trying to get aid to illegal aliens, well, it's already law, as signed by BUSH and as written by a REPUBLICAN congress. If you don't like the law, tell your congressional delegation. Why not voice your complaint where it counts? 'Liberal' has become a mindless code word for un-American and un-christian. Pass the 7-up, I think I'll become one, myself. Conservative piety is getting tiresome. I guess that comes from a peculiar sense of salvation and to hell with the rest.

I guess I would care, if a gave a toss about the whole organized religion thing anyway. But I don't. Too many people have been killed in the name of religion. Really, the bible is just a cute little story to me. And I'm sure that if Jesus was around today, he would be appaled at the things being done in his name. And I don't think he would take too kinfly to the opulence of the Vatican either. It's just another business. Tax free at that too.

That's why its a good idea to have more than one translation and a good Concordance not the slim little version in the back of most bibles. Rob'YesIReadMyBibles'T
