Andre Lower
OK, I should be embarrassed to ask, but I do not know how to do it . I want to send MIDI CC# 9 from my MIDI player to another MIDI device. For that I must first record this MIDI CC message (namely the sending out of CC#9) on a MIDI file. I do not know how to do so. I tried Cakewalk, but only got to record Patch/Bank Changes, NPRNs, etc. I cannot find a way to write the bloody sending of MIDI CC# 9 to a file and save it in a MIDI file. Can anyone help me? "I'm ready to sing to the world. If you back me up". (Lennon to his bandmates, in an inspired definition of what it's all about).
Prague
A keyboard can work. If the keyboard can allow the Mod Wheel to be changed from sending CC01 (the most common default assignment) to CC09, then you can record the keyboard into Cakewalk while "playing" the mod wheel only. AlChuck
I think you can also open the Event window and type in pretty much any MIDI message you want.
deanmass
The event editor is the way to go.
