Anderton
I'm a little slow sometimes...I ripped about 10 of my CDs to my wife's iPod, laboriously entering the song titles and such by hand, until I realized that I could just click on the "advanced" menu and have iTunes retrieve the info automatically and fill it in. Ditto with the Creative Zen Nomad software. Sure saves a lot of time!! You will find small errors from time to time, but no big deal. I'm shocked how many CDs are in that database -- even really esoteric records I picked up in Europe show up. Cool!!! zeronyne
Belive it or not, I have a Star Trek sound effects CD that shows up with all 120 track listings! "For instance" is not proof.
offramp
I thought I heard a distant "D'OH!". zeronyne: I MUST have that disc. I've upped my standards; now, up yours.
Super 8
Yeah, CDDB really rocks. Though some of their listings show too many compilations, and not enough from the original albums. But, it's still pretty cool. Super 8 Hear my stuff here

One of the cooler things about it is that you can easaily add your own CDs to it as well. nursers
Because CDDB wprks on the length of each track and album length to determine the CD you have popped in, and evil part of me has been tempted to create a CD with exactly same song lengths as a really popular album but create an alternative set of titles The Keyboard Chronicles Podcast Check out your fellow forumites in an Apple Music playlist Check out your fellow forumites in a Spotify playlist My Music: Stainless Fields

Matt.Hepworth
My old band's album comes up fine on CDDB, but comes up as CREED?!?!? from Windows Media Player (AMG instead of CDDB). No matter how good something is, there will always be someone blasting away on a forum somewhere about how much they hate it.

offramp
The only time CDDB has ever failed me was when I was importing Squeeze's 'Play' album; I got artwork from an accordian album called 'Squeeze Play'. I've upped my standards; now, up yours.
