Beneficial
I'm looking for a budget analog sound. Studiomaster 16x8x2 OR Allen & Heath System 8 Mixer Mixing Console MKII 16X8X2 Any opinions?
where02190
AHB all the way, the Studiosmashers are very noisy. Hope this is helpful. NP Recording Studios Analog approach to digital recording.
Beneficial
I've read the older allen boards seem a little flimsy, and that the studiomaster EQ's are better. But I've read mixed reviews on each. How noisy are the studiomasters?
where02190
Much noisier than an AHB is going to be, that's why I recommend it over the studiosmasher. A good eq isn't much good if it's masked by noise. Hope this is helpful. NP Recording Studios Analog approach to digital recording.
