Hopefully this is helpful to someone in the future:

With full knowledge that what I was doing was stupid, I upgraded to Mac OS Sequoia a couple of weeks ago. I needed to for a non-music related reason. I do use my MacBook Pro for gigs though, so I knew I was playing with fire.

Anyway, plug-in wise I've not appeared to have any issues, but twice the following issue has occurred:

1. Save MainStage concert normally

2. Next day when I re-open it I get a message along the lines of 'Concert file not compatible, please restore from a backup' (note this isn't a MS version issue).

3. For the past few years I save my MS Concerts on Dropbox and have never had an issue, but now twice I've had the use their Rewind feature to get an older version. When I use that feature it looks like Dropbox is now struggling to sync all the .cst files and also appears to be deleting essentially most of the components of the Concert, even though I've just saved as normal.

So - my unsurprising advice is: something is now an issue, Dropbox may be the sole culprit or something new has happened in interaction with OS Seqouia. I'm now saving that concert file to my hard drive and hopefully that solves the issue. So far so good.

no.

Please do not do this again.

Totally agree but literally had zero issues for 5+ years but my eyes were wide open :)  Just like I used to load plugins for every patch but now use aliases - I knew it was a recipe for pain and eventually changed my ways ;)
