dazzjazz
Last January I toured with Czech guitarist Libor Šmoldas. Here’s “In A Sentimental Mood” from our performance for Newcastle Improvised Music Association in Newcastle, Australia. I think the MAG organ has the sonic girth of a console. 10 3 Quote www.dazzjazz.com PhD in Jazz Organ Improvisation. BMus (Hons) Jazz Piano. my YouTube is Jazz Organ Bites 1961 A100.Leslie 45 & 122. JoJoB3
I still think one of the best additions one can make for most of these clones is one of those B3 lookalike stands to set them in. MAG sounds great (most of the new do). It's the visual onstage of these things that sidetracks the most. Lot's of talented woodworkers wares out there for very fair price. We're trying to fool em with the sound - the stage presence will only help (makes the entire band look a little better too. B3's tend to command that).
dazzjazz
Taking a clone rig with pedals is enough of a schlep as it is, without adding a heavy cumbersome wooden stand. The venue in the video above is downstairs through a very narrow corridor…So no thanks! 😃 2 Quote www.dazzjazz.com PhD in Jazz Organ Improvisation. These B3 stands fold up nicely and are not that cumbersome btw so I have no idea what you're going on about corridors, etc.

ElmerJFudd
Sounds great. The Leslie is both subtle and brash when you want it. What are you using for amplification? Stereo or mono? Quote Yamaha CP88, Casio PX-
J.F.N.
Great bag dude!! It's HX3 inside, right? Quote "You live every day. You only die once." Where is Major Tom? - - - - - PC3, HX3 w. dazzjazz
Thanks for the kind comments. Yes it’s HX3 inside. I use a single Yamaha DZR10 powered speaker. High powered and has a wooden cabinet which makes a big difference. Yes it’s heavy but it reveals a lot of sonic detail in the MAG organ that I didn’t know was there! 4 Quote www.dazzjazz.com PhD in Jazz Organ Improvisation. Old No7
Very nice -- really enjoyed that! I'm currently designing a B3-look alike to fit my SK Pro and lower keyboard; it won't make me play any better, but should look killer on stage! And I'm designing it to be both light-weight and strong enough. I'll post about the build once it gets going...
