d88m
Hi Organ Lovers, I’m looking for Larry Young transcriptions! I know there are a few floating around online but thought to put it out there on this forum. Especially anything from Unity. I have heaps of organ / LH bass / head arrangements to trade. Lots of Jimmy Smith, Big John Patton, Wes Montgomery, funky stuff and others. I transcribed a stack of classic organ arrangements ready to hand out to the band last year for a couple of months. Will do the same for modern organ rep eventually but would like to save time where I can. Even more broadly I’m after Joey D, Dr Lonnie, Larry Goldings etc. Hit me up! Thanks,

John Tweed
I can only offer an alternative transcription of "Talking About JC". Talking 'Bout JC.pdf We are in general agreement but you'll notice that I have written the section at the end of the head in 6/8. I'm curious to know what other folks find easier to read, since both ways are technically correct. This is not an uncommon situation. Personally I find reading sections where there are lots of tied notes can obscure the rhythm that will emerge, but ymmv. Even though I'm not Greek I have played a far bit of Greek music at one time or anopther and shifting time signatures are pretty common there.
