Tom Williams
As of this writing, presumably lasting 3 more weeks, The Candy store folks have a lot of Behringer stuff on sale. As in very very on sale. Example: P16M more than half off. X32s and X-airs cheapest in a decade. Is this good news, like trying out more affordable prices? Or bad news, like a ton of "legacy" stuff about to be abandoned? (Option 3: fiscal year clearance?) Quote -Tom Williams {First Name} {at} AirNetworking {dot} com PC4-7, PX-5S, AX-Edge, PC361

Yeah, wondered that as well, esp since GC is now a Behringer partner. Hopefully just an EOY clearance -- calling my "engineer" tomorrow. cphollis
To cure inflation, the textbook answer is to raise interest rates until the economy starts to painfully slow. We're in the meat of it right now: layoffs, dropoffs in consumer spending -- even gas prices have started to deflate where I am. Money is tight for a lotta folks. Retailers like SW -- and suppliers like B boys -- basically sell "luxury consumer goods", as no one really *needs* that latest toy, and used versions will suffice. Personally, I just saw the resale value of all my Behringer gear crash hard: my X32 rack, my XR-18, all the PM-16s et. al. This hurts a bit as I just splurged on a Allen&Heath rig and was planning to sell it all next month These are super great deals if you're in the market. Don't expect these prices to stick around for long, though. 1 Quote Want to make your band better? Check out "A Guide To Starting (Or Improving!) ElmerJFudd
Hmm. I have to imagine MI sales are slow in August as people are burning discretionary on trips. Inventory cleaning. No queries or low-balls anymore, and the people I know who work in the business ay that it's the same at the retail level as for those of us trying to move things on various individual sale sites. That is, people not only aren't buying new or used, but aren't even looking! This may be the deadest consumer period of my lifetime, except maybe the oil embargo era of 1973-1974. sunspot
Yowza, some of those prices are insanely cheap, especially on the Eurorack stuff. If you've ever considered piecing something together like a modern day ARP 2500 modular system (which was completely unobtainium before B/Rob Keeble recreated it), now's the time. J.F.N.
Dang, I definitely is not part of the target group for a BArp 2600, but with those prices... Hmmm luckily I'm off on vacation soon and have other "off keyz" things to care about then... 🤪 But maybe later this year if this is a permanent price slash... 🤣 Quote "You live every day. Franz Schiller
They have price drops on items that are NOT in stock, such as the spring reverb. So, it can't just be clearing out inventory. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/BehrSpring636--behringer-spring-reverberation-636-spring-reverb-module

Of coarse its summer where you guys are. Where would you get a spring reverb this time of year. Reminds me cherries are out of season here. Tom Williams
Update: my Sweetwater rep sez it's a rather typical Behringer temporary price reduction. In June it it was Aston microphones (another Music Tribe brand) -- then they went back up. Get 'em while they're hot, boys. 1 Quote -Tom Williams {First Name} {at} AirNetworking {dot} com PC4-7, PX-5S, AX-Edge, PC361
cassdad
Man, you folks are right…. looks like an incredible sale to me……. this is a screen print just now from the XR-18 from Sweetwater….. I think that’s an incredible (low) price. (I think I originally paid $600 or more for mine years ago.) Plus I own a nice Make Noise synth already so my conscience is clear) B's clone of ARP 2600 VCO (It has a fine tune knob!!) B's clone of the Moog CP3 mixer (that sounds good when you intentionally overload it) B's clone of Roland System 100 Dual ADSR/LFO Quad VCA/Mixer To be able to get all that new for less than $250 is effin nuts considering how $$$ the Eurocrack universe is.
