zephonic
To me Quennel Gaskin is the Art Tatum of our time. Equally proficient on the Hammond as well, truly amazing player. There are so many videos of him doing incredible things, but the 37 minute improv on At The Cross remains one of my favs. If that is too long, this sample should get you on your way. RIP Maestro. ProfD
D8mn. Quennel Gaskins was that dude who set keys on fire whenever he played. No more pain and suffering for him. RIP Mr. Gaskins.😎 1 Quote PD "The greatest thing you'll ever learn, is just to love and be loved in return."--E. Ahbez "Nature Boy"

Sean M. H.
Jeez...this hits hard. Think I've posted about him here a few times before. I believe he's only posted one video--a few weeks back--since he revealed his diagnosis. Suffice to say, he didn't look to be doing very well. A monster player, and based on everything I've ever seen, a truly humble, nice guy! RIP, and thanks for all the awe-inspiring work over the years. p.s. I have too many favorite videos/moments of his to even know where to start, but I've listened to this one more than a few times. This was him just warming up and noodling around impromptu:
