stalking the wild 19-year-old

Recommended Posts

True story.

This guy has made more than 1000 cell phone calls to this 19 year old girl in Eugene, Oregon. Persistent little bugger, huh?

At least 6 or 7 of his co-workers and his boss know about some of the weird unpleasant shit this guy has been up to for the last 6 years- Weird shit he's received a 94 year sentence for. Stuff like, sexual assaults- and trading leniency for sexual favors from a mentally ill woman with her daughter right there in the same room. Leniency?

Well, the guy's a police officer, you see, he has a bit of leeway in such matters- he's a hard guy to refuse. Threats with guns, threats with imprisonment- and of course some folks do get imprisoned, and in this case, some folks get raped. And it's not exactly a secret around the office these many years.

Damn, do I feel sorry for that 19 year old girl. 1000 plus phone calls is bad enough without whatever "sexual assault" means that time around...

Well now, this is a public "service" I'd rather not be paying for ... If it's a private company, don't use their service if you have a choice, or if you don't, be part of a class-action lawsuit, or at the very least know that the company's stock will plummet with bad press on hiring/retaining practices ... just a guess, but I'm-a guessin' that's what Mr. Fang had in mind ...

If it were a utility worker, it's quite unlikely he'd have been shielded by the infamous "blue

wall of silence" for SIX YEARS.

It has a great deal to do with yout tax dollars - but more importantly, it has a great deal to do with trust in those who are supposed to serve and protect. This thread really belongs over in the Political forum, because your inability to see what this has to do with tax dollars stems directly from your political position.

If the guy worked for the electric company would we say; "Yup. There's your utility dollars at work..."???

I used to think I was Libertarian. Until I saw their platform; now I know I'm no more Libertarian than I am RepubliCrat or neoCON or Liberal or Socialist.

We provide a cell phone (shared minutes) to a couple of our college kids. One of our sons has this insistant cute chick in California who keeps calling him during peak hours and using up our shared minutes. We have unlimited nights and weekends so wtf? Anyway, relating to this post, I was pissed when my cell bill was up 40 bucks because of her. Had she made over 1000 calls, I would have gone balistic. Well, I'm not sure what balistic means, but I probably would have yelled a lot.

I don't know for sure who picked up the tab on the cell phone bill, but I am inclined to believe you only make 1000 calls when you aren't paying yourself.

Then again, I can't really quite put myself in the place of this guy... man I got to say I get my kicks in REAL different ways.

Putting the jackass in prison for 94 years ain't gonna be inexpensive either. Yes, I do think an unfortunate accident is indeed in order...
