PeppyMars
If I cannot automate the plug-ins of UAD-1 (as inserts or sends) in Cubase SX/SL I dont see the advantage of having it. On the other hand if this is doable then I'm all for getting the UAD-1 allen
Joachim P. Dyndale
I'm not 100% sure, but I think you can. The UAD-1 plug-ins are VST plug-ins, so it's very likely that you can automate them. But of course, you should wait until someone here is kind enough to give you an answer which they're 100% sure is correct before buying. -Joachim Dyndale -------------------- Einstein: The difference between genius and stupidity is: Genius has limits My Blog... I was thinking its hardware, but it is seen by Cubase as software (which it is) that uses UAD-1 without needing Cubase to tell it so. allen
Joachim P. Dyndale
Yup. Right on. I had a UAD-1 card for a week or so, but the friend I bought it from changed his mind and wanted it back. It didn't REALLY need it at the time so I gave it back to him. I truly LOVE the VST-plugins on that card However, if I had the choice between the UAD-1 and the Powercore I have to admit I'd choose the Powercore... But of course, I'd most likely get the Uad-1 as well after a short while. Always good to have both -Joachim Dyndale -------------------- Einstein: The difference between genius and stupidity is: Genius has limits My Blog... I truly LOVE the VST-plugins on that card I looked up the list for the "Project" one (a lot cheaper) and found the EQ side lacking. Is this the case? It seems like a LP/HP filter of sorts... The only plug-in that I found attractive was the verb one. Any clarifications on the quality/usefulness of the "project" plugs? I cannot afford the studio. allen
Joachim P. Dyndale
Is there a project version and a studio version now? I went over to Universal Audio's site and I couldn't find any references to these two versions... (I didn't look too hard though) When I had the card I had the (I think) 1176LN, LA-2A, CS-1, RealVerb Pro, Nigel, Pultec EQP-1A and the DreamVerb. All of those are simply fantastic plug-ins. Worth every penny. -Joachim Dyndale -------------------- Einstein: The difference between genius and stupidity is: Genius has limits My Blog... PeppyMars
1176LN, LA-2A, CS-1, RealVerb Pro, Nigel, Pultec EQP-1A and the DreamVerb. [/QB]Of your listing, the following are NOT with the project pak, only with the studio pack ...1176LN...LA-2A... DreamVerb so you had the studio pack On this URL: http://www.uaudio.com/products/software/uad-1.html You'd see those you have to buy or get with the studio pack buble which is a LOT more expensive... allen
