LiveMusic
This is so stupid, I can't believe I'm even asking this but hey, I really wanna know. And it's a boring Saturday. So, I have a date with a new girl tonight to go see a band we both like. And I love lima beans. Problem. I don't wanna be doing the blazing saddles thing while with her. I remember when the Beano pills came out years ago. They were a novelty. People thought it was funny. But I seem to recall that it became a "serious" product. One that really works. Do they? Do you have to take them before you eat your beans or afterward is okay? > > > [ Live! ] < < <
Empty Planet
Fruits of science to the rescue. It's a simple principle. The gas is created because some folks don't have the enzyme to properly break down certain food constituents. Beano is just a brand name for a product that provides the enzyme so you can digest it without, er, side effects. I don't know about the pills, but there's a widely available liquid form. And you're darn tootin' it works. :D Oh ye of little faith. Btw, around here, I think it would be the Beano degausser. :D
not Cereal
have i ever told you folks how much I HATE BEANO PILLS?
aeon
yes, Beano does work if your flatulence is caused by various vegetables and legumes...when I was fully vegan it worked wonders. Go tell someone you love that you love them.
mattzen
You could also try NOT eating beans on the day of your date! :D OR Let 'em rip and if she stays...she's a keeper!!! It's going to have to happen sooner or later if you like beans so much, right? [ 01-12-2002: Message edited by: mattzen ]
Parisongs
Who knows? Maybe the girl likes Dutch Ovens? A Dutch Oven, by the way, is when you fart under the covers and you pull the covers up over her head.

Jeff Leites
Well, you were correct in asking on a music BBS, after all, "Beans, Beans, the musical fruit, the more you eat, the more you toot". :D P.S. Lay off the beans next Thursday! Marvster
For those of you unfamiliar with the CDs: http://www.pullmyfinger.com Forget which issue, but one of them was actually reviewed in Keyboard. Marv
KHAN
I find the Beano plug-in to be brittle in the highs, and a bit thin in the lows. For really warm flatulence processing I recommend the Waves Renaissance De-Gasser. Especially if you have a lot of natural compression... So Many Drummers. So Little Time... Hippie
All the suggestions are excellent. However, keep in mind to use all these 'sweeteners' to a minimum; too 'wet' and you could have a real mess 'on your hands'. :D In two days, it won't matter.
