I was at DMAFB with the OA-37s and A-10s (not a pilot) and then Langley with the venerable F-15s. Time was I could not only tell you what an aircraft was just by sight from WW 2 on, but how fast it flew, its pros and cons, etc. Sadly I'm rusty now. What's this new-fangled F-35 thing anyway?
jverghese
Day job: Engineering manager at a company in the electrical utility field. Sideline: Analog and digital synth design. I always wanted to work in the music biz, but the music industry sector is minimal in my country (apart from two major speaker manufacturers, which are located too far away from civilization). CowboyNQ
I am a self-employed leadership and communication coach/trainer. I split my time roughly 50% between this and music.

I like to think my second job has been creative over that time, did a lot of freelance writing on music tech and keyboard for magazines in the 2000s, including two articles in Keyboard Magazine (thanks Ernie!). Have been podcasting since 2007 and still enjoy doing it, as well as playing in bands and composing / recording It's OK but there is no where to go in what I am doing. It's a good school, I just don't care for the work every semester. It's way too much work administratively. I miss public health and going out to hospital sites. I used to work with and on NYS grants and worked in 9 counties. 1 Quote "Danny, ci manchi a tutti. La E-Street Band non e' la stessa senza di te. My dad flew A-7's and A-10s at DMAFB and I went to high school and college there. They are still building F-16's actually! The USAF has very dwindling number now and I see more and more F-35's. My acquaintances who've flown the "Fat Boy with Magic Pants" seem to like it now that they've worked out most of the kinks in it. Although it's not the pure fun sports car that the F-16 was, it evidently does some pretty high tech shit! My assignments were in Germany(Hahn), Moody AFB GA., Nellis AFB NV., Kunsan AB ROK, Luke AFB AZ with a whole lot of Persian Gulf destinations in between (Al Dhafra UAE, King Abdul Aziz SA., Al Udied Qatar, Balad Iraq. I did some work with the Taiwanese Air Force and spent some time there. 2 Quote You want me to start this song too slow or too fast? Yeah, our government (I’m Bulgarian) ordered 8 of them last year and 8 more this year for our army and it’s a heated topic since the opponents of the deal say these are 1970-s design but the proponents state it’s the avionics and armaments that matter and not so much the plane. I’m more bothered by the fact we paid all 16 of them but will get them only after a few years. But we’re off topic already!
