Welcome to MPN!

You may also want to post in the Guitar Forum - https://forums.musicplayer.com/forum/29-guitar-forum/

The Lowdown is the bass forum. I play guitar, 50+ years.

If you give me a playable guitar, I will play rock on it. I don't care if it's an acoustic guitar, nylon string, 12 string, a Les Paul or a Strat, I will rock it.

Or play folk, country, blues, whatever.

There is NO "Best Rock Guitar", there is only the guitar that YOU like the best.

For me, that is a Strat that I built from parts, it's not like any other Strat in the world. LOTS of great players play Strats, Teles, Les Pauls, SGs, ES335s and many of the variants now made, most in Asian countries. The overall quality of guitars has improved considerably, especially in the less expensive area of the market.

There are also many different types of "Rock". Do you want to sound like Scotty Moore from Elvis' original band? Do you want to sound like the Beatles or Stones?

Or do you want to sound like Metalica? Shred Metal, Punk, Rockabilly are all Rock.

Let us know more about what you are looking for, your post doesn't define what you want.

It took a chunk of my life to get here and I am still not sure where "here" is.
