desertbluesman Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 Try a Yamaha acoustic. They seem to be fairly inexpensive and I have played some of them in the past and I liked them. 4 Quote dbm If it sounds good, it is good !! http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=143231&content=music
Sharkman Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 Either a Yamaha or an Epiphone acoustic would be my choices. In fact, the first good guitar I bought back in 1981 was a Yamaha acoustic. 4 Quote I rock; therefore, I am.
Larryz Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 Welcome aboard Murtaza! Any acoustic guitar within your budget that's easy to play...+1 on Yamaha and Epiphone. 😎 3 Quote Take care, Larryz
KuruPrionz Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 Welcome, Murtaza! Often, it's not the guitar but the set-up that makes the difference. If you know a good guitar tech or are handy with tools yourself you can make almost any guitar play easily. If the neck is warped beyond adjustment or the bridge is tearing off then that's probably not a good choice. If the guitar has had the frets leveled, crowned and polished, the truss rod adjusted properly, the saddle and then the nut adjusted properly that can make a HUGE difference. Using lighter gauge strings can help a great deal as well but the truss rod needs adjusted to the string tension. There are lots of tutorials online, be sure to check a few different ones as not everybody is consistent with their advice. And I agree that Yamaha and Epiphone both offer good value and quality for the price. If possible, buy used. Sometimes you can find a nice used guitar that has been set up properly and that's the gem to hunt for. Good luck and enjoy the forums, this is a great group of people! 4 Quote It took a chunk of my life to get here and I am still not sure where "here" is.
surfergirl Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 I don't have a lot of experience with acoustics, but my mother has a Yamaha that has survived 25 years of beach parties. Also, welcome aboard. 4 Quote Jennifer S.
