miden Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 As there a few "portable" musos that hang here, I thought I'd ask if anyone has come across a decent 3/4 channel battery powered mixer? I have a couple of "passive" ones, viz ART 'SplitMix 4' - however having one with active circuity would be better for purpose. Thanks IA Quote There is no luck - luck is simply the confluence of circumstance and co-incidence... Time is the final arbiter for all things
Baldwin Funster Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 It's not mini sized but the behringer 1002b can run for about 4 hours I think on batteries. It's got a pre and post fader send. And prefader inserts on 2 channels. It's discontinued I think but lots are around used. I have 2 ( they are keepers). Quote FunMachine.
KuruPrionz Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 One huge advantage to battery powered audio of any type is that batteries are true DC, there will be no hum or buzz caused by AC power. I don't know of anything offhand but I'll be watching this thread. Quote It took a chunk of my life to get here and I am still not sure where "here" is.

If I use them to record I always use a battery, less noise. 😇 1 Quote It took a chunk of my life to get here and I am still not sure where "here" is.
miden Posted November 19, 2022 Author Posted November 19, 2022 Thanks, I'll see if I can find one of the Behringer units. Quote There is no luck - luck is simply the confluence of circumstance and co-incidence... Time is the final arbiter for all things
Baldwin Funster Posted November 19, 2022 Posted November 19, 2022 Make sure it's the xenyx 1002B . There is a xenyx 1002 without the B and its not battery capable. 1 Quote FunMachine.
