Ivan May Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 Although probably not best captured by this photo, this is the guitar that Terry used on most of the early Chicago recordings. Red with a rosewood fingerboard. This was one of the first guitars that Terry acquired with Chicago, although Free Form Guitar was played on a Strat through a Fender Dual Showman amp. He also played a Gibson Les Paul Professional, a Gibson Thunderbird bass, a Gibson Firebird and a Gibson ES 335. Sometime later the SG got damaged and Terry put the humbuckers in the SG into his Telecaster. Sounds to me like Terry used the bridge pickup of his SG a lot! This guitar was used on the great tracks Introduction and South California Purples. I hope this post intrigues a lot of people. Thanks Quote
