This Is The End

The End. Fisheye. Night time. Light painting. All at the end of the world. Or at least, Wonder Valley. These enormous letters created by Jack Pierson acknowledge just that. I ran out to take night photos of this art installation curated by High Desert Test Sites. This art is of course entitled "The End of the World". I get asked if I saw cats pushing things off the edge of the earth. I'm sorry to say no. HDTS is a non-profit organization that supports immersive experiences and exchanges. I illuminated the scene with a handheld light during this long exposure night photo.

Haha! Yes, it did!

 

Actually, I believe this particular one, one of the last ones for these letters, IS the back side. I reversed it in post. By then, the moon had shifted, and I liked the way it was illuminating the letters in the back.
