need some advice here.  I wrote before about me getting the access virus ti2.  presently I have ten synths, boards and modules, and plenty of plug-ins.   I know I don't need more but I have the disease.  everyone said I have enough, and work with I have.  I have owned many Roland synths in the past, but now I do not own a Roland synth.  I am thinking of the Roland XM.  I do not like the mini keys as I will midi it with my Modx.  the XM seems nice.  I am not a programmer and usually buy voice libraries then edit them and save them.  any comments non the XM will be appreciated.

I have the Fantom Xm and like it. Just ordered the wireless adapter that will connect it to the Roland Cloud and make it easy to load patches from the cloud. Should be in tomorrow. I am gassing for the full size Jupiter X for more programming controls. I know you said you don't program patches, but you really should try a synth that makes it easy to tweak sounds. One more thing, the Xm helped me get over selling my Virus TI2's. They really do sound good.

Check out the System 8 if you are lusting for the classic Roland synthesizer sounds. Full size keys instead of mini keys, better VA engine than Jupiter XM and no confusing menu diving. The Jupiter X/XM can do more overall but the System 8 mimics analogue synth sounds better.

LIFE IS SHORT, GO GET THE GEAR YOU WANT ;-)
