Anderton Posted April 18, 2022 Share Posted April 18, 2022 Looks like one of those blank-check type of acquisitions. It's currently losing money, and supposedly Spotify is as well. I have no idea whether Apple Music is making money or not, but does that really matter? It's all part of the Apple ecosystem, which is making a ton of money. You could argue that one reason people become part of the Apple ecosystem is for add-ons like Apple Music. Does anyone here listen to Deezer? Any thoughts of how good it is compared to Spotify et al? RABid Posted April 19, 2022 Share Posted April 19, 2022 Never heard of it. They must have some tech that Apple wants. Sort of like when WalMart bought Lowes. They didn't really buy Lowe's for Lowe's, they bought it for the fantastic inventory system that automatically removed items when rung up on the registers and worked across satellite links to tie all the stores together. Deezer is independent.
