RABid Posted February 13, 2022 Share Posted February 13, 2022 The Acrolite thread finally triggered a memory. A few years ago I bought a used Ludwig snare off of Ebay and put it in the closet. I bought it because it has the blue/olive logo. It came in a standard Ludwig snare case like you get when you buy a drum for high school band. Dug it out this morning and tried to identify it, but no luck. Even the serial is not listed on the Ludwig site which probably puts it in one of those years that serial numbers were not kept on record. Anyway, here are some specs. SN 3120323 Shell - Wood shell with chrome/steel wrap. No date stamp that I can see inside. Lugs - 8 lugs with no decorative ridges. Normal fat size, but smooth. Badge - Blue/Olive with rounded points. The B/O badges started out pointy, then complaints about them catching on clothing prompted them to round the two pointy corners.
