Theo Verelst
Now, in my case that's not OT because I'd use it foe keyboard/synthesizer processing on Linux, and I suppose a lot of people would run plugins/effects/sequencing/multi-track software on it on windows or Mac. For Linux it isn't necessarily important which main hot performing hardware is used, though Linux on the M1 is in it's infancy. Then I suppose "content creation" is a thing here, too! That means interest in those 7GB/s NVMe.Pci4/4x M.2 SSDs, a 3060 or higher card (can do artistic ray-tracing too), probably a desire for 32 (or) more Ram, ot maybe wait for DDR5 to become cheaper and with lower access times. Anyhow, my current main notebook use comes through using a decade young Asus I7 second gen HD machine with fine speed and memory, but not suitable for 4k editing, limited use for Linux processing (compared with a 12thgen 4.5+GHz high;y cooled new variation) and though it's screen is fine, it's not a wonderful 4k HDR, calibrated Oled also wonderful for watchimg TV. Unfortunately, not many are into heavy Linux streaming audio processing with Jack, but I suppose there are some here who use creator tools and of course heavy sequencing/recording.. T.
