Docbop Posted February 7, 2022 Share Posted February 7, 2022 Reminds of the piano setup Juke Logan used to use on bar gigs. He took is old Whurlitzer and cut the legs off so he sat on the stage and Whurly was just tall enough to get his legs under with a couple inches of clearance. Juke was mainly know for his harp' playing so he'd be jumping up and down all night between piano and harp'. There was an opposite in L.A. for awhile I believe his name was Eddie Zip a tall guy from New Orleans. He sang and played piano in a cool band that did Second line and Funky Rock stuff. He used PVC pipe to make extensions for this Whurly so it would be tall enough for him to sing and play standing up. He had a great band.
