I definitely don't do this exclusively, but as I'm scanning slides before they are totally ruined by age, I'm seeing this as a recurring theme.

 

I know many painters have what is known as their Source Image. Something that reoccurs through a lot of their work. Sometimes big like the above pictures, and sometimes even subtle in a more complex composition. It's also possible to have a few source images.

 

Mrs. Notes is a trained fine-art painter. She seems to be able to spot a painter's source image very quickly. So I learn about these concepts and find them interesting.

 

Unfortunately, most of my slides have been stored improperly and are only good for personal memories. I plan to keep what I want, clean up the slide projector, and donate it to someone who might find a use for it.
