Theo Verelst
I discovered, while working on my general A grade music improvement processing there are 30 band dynamics related processing methods which uncover signal reconstruction preparations. To some extend, this had to be deliberate. Here's a video of me playing (only) Yoshimi (A linux zynaddsubfx based software synthesizer) Presets, but through a prepared 30 band expand chain I had for other purposes: [video:youtube] The advantage is, for as far as the YT quality is high enough ( I fed it source HD 1080/50p video and 96kHz, 24 bit lossless audio), the sound is good enough not to make me cringe at every other note, and isn't generally brain dead, which is often my feeling with software synthesis I hear. I'm not playing any serious Jazz and included no explanations inthe video, promise. It's just some fun with the sounds, not all too complicated in many cases, but this synthesis method at times is deeper than most, I think it's and interesting subject. Theo V. Theo Verelst
It has taken 3 days for this upload to become available for playing in high resolution, this has never happened before, but at least now you can see it beter than lowres and with much beter sound even though I've never been able to approach the 96khz 24bit source quality from a YT player on computer (various browser and OS-es), pad, phone or smart TV, but it's ok now. Note that this demo was created entirely from Open Source and Freely downloadable software, albeit I have not (yet) made the Jack-rack / Ladspa plugins based correction signal path and settings available for download, in fact I'm still making improvements and further developments which include rhythm and sample player, which is great, I'm very glad with how these combined tunings become acceptable musical basic sound !
