High stool / chair

Sorry to create a likely redundant thread! Looking to find a lightweight / foldable / easy-to-transport stool that's roughly barstool height. Anyone found the magic stool? I have a foldable high stool, but it's heavy and kinda bulky, not so easy to throw in the car.

Some music I've recorded and played over the years with a few different bands

I've repeatedly harped on this:

I"ve used the IKEA Nilserik office stool for twenty years now.

It"s got a wobbly bottom which allows me to tilt it towards whichever keyboard I"m playing, has a good height, is dirt cheap (50 inkl. VAT), and the wobbliness keeps my lower back mobile.

Unfortunately, it doesn't collapse, though you can pull off the seat. But it's reasonably light-weight.

I mentioned in the other thread, I have a barber stool that maxes at 32" tall, can change height easily and swivels, and has a foot rest...all good stuff. It is heavy and awkward though.

It's dying so I'm looking at drafting chairs. These don't look very convenient though to say the least, but they do look very comfy and can be very tall on the plus side.

During lockdown while the orchestra was on hiatus at one of the church's I work at, I poached the conductor's chair to use with their B3. Was the most comfortable I've ever been for long rehearsals and playing. Probably not something that's easy to tote though. Still basically a drafting style chair.

Since then, I've been experimenting with some of the taller Drummer's thrones that have pneumatic lifts. One of my drummer friends is 6'4' and let me try his "big n tall" Roc-n-Sac that goes higher than the standard. Not sure I love the tractor style seats, but love being able to adjust as needed for comfort.

You might consider "shop stools" Amazon has this, which I've been thinking is a pretty good cheap workaround and only 12 lbs: https://www.amazon.com/GearWrench-86992-Adjustable-Swivel-Stool/dp/B06XCPS7PN/ref=asc_df_B06XCPS7PN/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=331778451017&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=4564939878577516450&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9010869&hvtargid=pla-648920540521&psc=1
