re Pete
Definitely worth watching. The organic composition flow, arrangements and interplay. Man, miss him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-XZu8DBLSs
jazzpiano88
Nice! An interesting bit of trivia is that the Akoustic band was formed as a quick and dirty solution to deliver a record owed under contract with GRP. Josh Paxton
I call this "my daily reminder that any time I transcribe a Chick single-note line, there's about an 80% chance my guess at his fingering will be wrong."
Josh Paxton
Me at 1:17:50: "OMG, is Patitucci pulling out a friggin' CHART for Spain???" My by about 1:20:00: "Oh. Okay, now it makes sense."
re Pete
Nice re-arrangement by Chick on Spain and getting the audience involved at the end. Patitucci with an excellent solo on Lifeline at 45 min. Chick looks like no charts, all from memory. The Scarlatti cool arrangement. Excellent video work and Chick controlling the monitors stage mix it seems.
marino
Great! I saw them during the same tour. Among other treats, I have been playing that Scarlatti D minor Sonata since I was a kid.
