"Soundbar" Keyboard monitor?

Honestly, holy grail would be to have some kind of standardize Lego-like fittings for all of this crap, so it would be easy to mix and match. Sort of like Eurorack, but for musicians :o

That would be ideal! I just sold a Roland RD-88, one of the benefits of which is built-in speakers. Loved having that option, but the instrument didn't work out as well for me in a couple other ways. So I'm back to a non-speakered stage piano/synth, but miss the added benefits of onboard speakers. I do find the in-your-face sound helpful in a band setting, though typically use a powered cabinet as well; so it's not essential in those instances. But when playing solo piano, a compact soundbar would be a great solution - vs schlepping and placing my powered stage cabinet, or placing and interconnected my pair of Eris 3.5s. Just wondering what the simplest mounting solution would be. While using a music rest could work (an available option for the YC-88), I use charts and various Realbooks; so a different type of mount would be preferable.

@ Alan,

My On Stage Z stand has various optional attachments at the back of the stand that accommodates a shelf that could be used for small speakers. I bought it and it didn't feel secure enough for anything close to its 10-pound limit, though I imagine your Eris speakers are super light and would probably work. However, I'm sure there are other stands that have available attachments that could hold speakers.

I imagine those Eris 3.5" are not near as powerful as the 5"-6.5" vocal monitors that you can use a mic stand to mount.

I would really love to have the Kawai MP7SE- as a stage piano it's way beyond the ES920 I have, 250 sounds instead of 38, with its Pitch and Mod wheels, 4 parts instead of 2, and lots more hands on realtime control, etc. However it's 48? pounds instead of 37.5, and it has no speakers! The quest for the keyboard that has it all (at least one I can afford and schleep) goes on!

I'm just really bad and slow at setup/breakdown, and my rig keeps growing. Two separate speakers is more than I want to deal with right now. I've always used a single amp, with a handle, that I can just setup and forget. I'm always looking for simple solutions that won't add to my setup time and schlepping. Two small speakers may be great, but if I can use a single unit, that's gonna win me over.
