EscapeRocks
I laughed at the song, but I find it very cool all the synths are from V-Collection 8 as follows: Synths used: Analog Lab V (Glissando Pad modified) Analog Lab V (Simple But Beautiful 80s modified) Ob-xa (jump modified) Prophet V (behind the brs modified) Mini V (3osc modified) Yes, he is purposely cheesy with the video part. I think it sounds great [video:youtube] Quote David Gig Rig:Roland Fantom 08 | Roland Jupiter
AUSSIEKEYS
Interesting ...so I listened to this version and the original about 4 times each back to back. I am grateful to readdress the original which I do every 6 months or so if not more than often (a brilliant song and video) Although this version musically (vocals aside) sounds closeish I don't think it hits it spot on. (Personal opinion) but pretty good never the less. And good enough for most that if i was still back in my midifile days in the late 90s I'd be happy using it on an upmarket midifile. By then most midifile could be played thru decent modules. As an aside I'm not knocking his version at all (as I couldnt match it) but I am assuming you put this up to critique. It was a good romp into the past.
Mark Schmieder
Interesting -- those aren't the synths I thought I had read were used in the original. I no longer remember what I used when I used to perform this live, but seem to recall creating my own patches using the PLG-150AN card in the Yamaha MOTIF series ROMplers, or maybe it was while I owned the DSI Prophet 8. In either case, close enough to the synth architecture of the ones used in Arturia Collection to create this funny video.
