EscapeRocks
Hey all, Had a great gig at a wonderful outdoor venue. Beautiful night, big stage. Load in and setup As part of our sound check we also do a chorus of a song acapella to make sure we hear each other since all five of us sing. A friend captured it (apparently on his potato, as far as the visual is concerned ) [video:youtube] and finally a snippet of a FOH board Recording The piano is the MODX8. Bosendorfer Imperial Pop Rock, with edited velocity triggers. Layered with a touch of the CFX piano The Strings are FM PWM Strings from the MODX8 Dave's Song Example on Soundcloud Quote David Gig Rig:Roland Fantom 08 | Roland Jupiter
eric
Dude! Sounds great, what an awesome FOH mix! Guitar pretty prominent, though we keyboard players battle loud guitars and drums, LOL. Thanks for sharing! How did you like the new Gibraltar stand?

EscapeRocks
Thanks guys! Eric: the Gibraltar stand is fantastic. So very easy to setup. This was the first tine I got to use it on a big stage. It"s going to be nice for the future multi band gigs where I can setup back stage and just roll into position. The casters make my setup smooth. I put the boards on it, then I can move it around until I"m exactly where I want to be. Once a lock the front( near me) casters, this stand has zero bounce and zero wiggle, since the locking the casters also engages a cam that keeps them from turning in addition to rolling. vonnor
Impressive phrasing on those vocals. It's been too long since I've worked with other musicians who "get it." Very jealous. ~ vonnor "Play the rests!" Quote Gear: Hardware: Nord Stage4, Korg Kronos 2, Novation Summit Software: Cantabile 3, Halion Sonic 3 and assorted VST plug-ins. Very jealous. ~ vonnor "Play the rests!" Thank you. It's one thing we're proud of in the band. The fact that all 5 of us can sing. The music is the easy part. We worked very hard to get the Journey-esque vocals down. nursers
Great stuff and nothing better than having a good band that can do great quality singing across the board Quote The Keyboard Chronicles Podcast Check out your fellow forumites in an Apple Music playlist Check out your fellow forumites in a Spotify playlist My Music: Stainless Fields
