hardware
Looking for anyone with experience using hardware based AutoTune FX. Don"t suggest Tascam, it"s a POS. Can"t believe they even tried to pawn that off. Just bought the Akai MPC Live and a TC VoiceRack. Voice rack has everything I need except the AutoTune, hence the request. Also no longer performing in larger productions, prepping for small budgets, small clubs. What"s a great sounding Bass Amp, the smaller the better since Im already lugging 2 separate small PAs for separation. elif
I have used a TC-Helicon Mic Mechanic 2 pedal live and with no complaints. The autotune amount can be adjusted from none to Cher. The pedal does other things too, though AFAIK they can all be set to have no effect. Regarding the bass amplifier, I presume you want a combo (size). How small? How loud? How $? All the 1x12" combos are roughly the same size and approx. 30 lb, The powers range from 25 W up to 800 W. I have considered replacing my current bass rig* with a GK MB112 (1x12" 200W) which I would probably try to buy used. Check Sweetwater Bass Guitar Combo Amps for ideas. Check talkbass.com for reviews. * Markbass LM2 450W into a fEarful 12/6 cabinet.
Dr88s
I tried the TC-Helicon voicetone pedal live once. I had set the scale but the knob is fairly loose / easy to wiggle and the key somehow got shifted in between songs. I was horrified that my harmonies started a half step off. Never again. hardware
Yeah the Roland and TC Voicerack got everything covered. Surprised at the quality since I used these 20 years ago. Just waiting for GC and Sam Ash to open, will try several bass amps with the MPC Bass lines I made. Pretty cool having lithium powered gear to take anywhere. Thanks guys Quote Magnus C350 + FMR RNP + Realistic Unisphere Mic
