russrags Posted May 28, 2004 Share Posted May 28, 2004 Yesterday when I came home from the Studio I saw Air Force One and the Motorcade as President Bush was in Nashville. I heard the following story on the Radio and local news, but I'm really surprised this didn't hit National News. I'm equally surprised they escorted the plane to Nashville with the President in town ???? American Airlines Plane Surrounded After Bomb Threat Discovered The Presidents fighter jets escorted the plane to Nashville International airport when a bomb threat note was found on board a commercial flight. Flight 306 was in route from Dallas to Boston when a flight attendant on board found the note in the bathroom and alerted the captain who called for help. The 129 Passengers on board the plane have been removed. No one was injured. Officials say this bomb threat has nothing to do with the President's visit today. But they are still taking every precaution. Both Metros bomb squad and the FAA are still investigating. A bomb sniffing dog had made a positive "hit." But federal officials are now saying the package does not appear to be a bomb. No other flights at the airport have been delayed. Just thought I'd pass it on.
