Mark Schmieder
https://www.vsl.co.at/en/Synchron_Package/Bosendorfer_Upright I haven't had a chance to listen to the audio demos yet, and am not sure the Synchron hall is the right environment for an upright piano, but I may be surprised. At any rate, I have heard many say this is their favourite upright, and I think I had one sample library for it earlier this year (as part of a UVI piano suite) but will look that up later. For some reason, it's harder to find good upright libraries (though I do like the modeled one in Pianoteq) than for grand pianos. I'm sure many will list their favourites now that I've said that, and I can already confidently state that I have probably owned most or all of them and found them lacking. I did sell one 9as an incentive for a bulk deal) that I considered quite good though, from XLN. Aside from listening to the audio demos and deciding whether to take advantage of my very affordable loyalty price, I need to research the piano itself a bit more, as there are many different types of upright designs, and some (such as certain Baldwin models) even have three place that you can lift a slab away from the instrument. An Upright Grand is usually similar to a Grand Piano in most respects, having the same string count per note, and possibly even full escapement in the action. But of course the latter isn't going to play into a sample library's interface. Mark Schmieder
This sounds quite remarkable to me, and unlike any upright I've ever heard -- more akin to a Baby Grand, which itself is often a very desired sound for a more intimate mood. I've run out of disc space for libraries this large, at the moment. I've also run out of options for bouncing things around; too many SSD-only libraries at this point (that fail on HD's). The product page does talk a bit about the actual design of the piano itself, and it seems Bosendorfer had a different audience in mind than schools, pubs, etc. Quote Eugenio Upright, 60th Ann P-Bass, USA Geddy Lee J-Bass, Yamaha BBP35, D'angelico Bari, Dano Bari Select Strat/Tele, Am Pro Jazzmaster, LP 57 Gold, G5422DC-12, T486, T64, PM2, EXL1, XK4, Voyager
