Stephen Fortner Posted May 27, 2004 Share Posted May 27, 2004 A grand'll get you a flat-front HDTV CRT these days. Not as trendy as a plasma screen, but CRT's still have more color depth. It won't buy a Sony, but is enough for something like a Samsung or Phillips. I'd go for that, and invest the money you don't spend on a plasma screen into a good progressive-scan DVD player.
