Muad’Dib
Okay! Before anyone says anything. I just ordered a Roland D-20 through Reverb.com, for $99.00, plus $60.00. I know its an impulse buy, but i realize what the hey.
Mighty Motif Max
The price was right. I'd pick one up at that price myself even though it's rather uninspiring to me as a keyboard. Around here the three I've seen for sale were all about $250-300! Muad’Dib
I"ll say! I don"t have a disposable income, so I get, what i can afford.
Mighty Motif Max
I don't have a disposable income really either, being a student! But for my main board, which cost a good $3,699, I just saved for a couple years when I could and it was totally worth it. Be aware that sometimes on the D-20 the buttons can become unresponsive due to usage plus age. Have fun with it though. You should post a recording at some point. stoken6
At that price you should be able to sell it on at your buy price if you don't get on with it. Cheers, Mike
Muad’Dib
I don"t think the keyboard is the issue ? The issue is with me! I have a tendency to overthink things? Plus, most of the time I have an empty mind.
zephonic
The D-20 was my first keyboard. It sucks for pianos and ep's, but it is surprisingly effective as a synthesizer. Some analog warmth there, with a bit of tweaking/programming it can sound pretty strong. It really got me started as a songwriter/producer, being able to sequence was amazingly liberating. One day a fellow keyboardist/producer borrowed it for a gig, and I never got it back. Oh well... Quote gear list.pdf
