OT - Do you have a stingy relative?

Or friend? How are they stingy? (Tight-fisted, cheap, thrifty.)

 

My mom saves twisties to tie plastic bags. She will not throw out cookies for months. They are absolutely inedible but she won't throw them out.

 

I knew an old man who would coast down a hill near here to save gas.

 

Do you have any regional colloquialisms that mean "stingy?"
