Whining gits or pioneering heros?

Recommended Posts

You know the ones, every support forum has them.

If a DAW manufacturer releases an update, some people applaud their work, others take the opportunity to bitch about the stuff they didn't get around to fixing. Some people attack the addition of new features when old bugs haven't been sorted, some people don't complain once, or twice, they start campaigns, collect signatures, run for office, contact Amnesty International and go before the UN to testify about the appalling customer service that they've experienced.

For some reason though, they never seem to sell up and just go and use another DAW

Can a person care too much about a collection of ones and zeros?

sounds just like the nuendo forum. nuendo is not shareware. it cost 1200 bucks for the software and in addtion is fairly hardware specific. so in that case, i think people should very VERY vocal about bugs and such that do not get fixed in a timely manner. for many with that kind o investment, dropping everything and switching programs isn't as simple as going from pepsi to coca-cola.

I think you have it confused with Pro-Tools.

I have got nuendo to run very well on numerous hardware configurations.

Yes it has bugs. But at least they focus their attention on improving their software instead of hardware.
