16251
I've been thinking about how to explain to myself what I'm not hearing in the Nord piano attack portion of their pianos but I'd like to think about how all sampled pianos work through this part of the sample. I've decided for me it is the thud of the hammer that I think is most important. My N2 is not a great comparison but my senses are feeling/hearing a thud like a grand (the felt hitting the string.) I guess a good example of testing this out would be a slow expressive ballad. Francesi
That's actually a great explanation. Best I've heard, at least. Glad I discovered this youtube channel. Cheers, Rudy.
AnotherScott
I've been thinking about how to explain to myself what I'm not hearing in the Nord piano attack portion of their pianos Is this something you notice when listening to Nord samples, or when playing it yourself, or both? Beside the N2, are there other boards where you're hearing what you're missing in the Nord? That posted video is interesting. I'm tempted to believe his explanation for why I have a tendency to push the timing, but I think I might be letting myself off easy. ;-) Quote Maybe this is the best place for a shameless plug! Our now not-so-new new video at https://youtu.be/3ZRC3b4p4EI is a 40 minute adaptation of T. S. Eliot's "Prufrock" - check it out! And hopefully I'll have something new here this year. ;-)

Never thought about what's missing on DP's I like. 16251
It's what this guy explains (skip to about 3 minutes) That was an insightful video. The attack part of piano sample seems easy to manipulate, not by me of course.
