Gabriel E.
Have been reading the "Fatherhood and Stress" thread with great interest. This is related and I'm so excited that I had to share it. Sarah E. and I just got back from our first ultrasound. She's around 6 or 7 weeks along (we'll know for sure when we meet with the doc on Monday). Despite its rather early stage of development, we were amazed to see that the baby has a very visible heartbeat (beating at 139.2 BPM). Seeing my shrimp-like child was pretty awesome. If anyone's interested, the ultrasound machine was scanning at 8.0 Mhz. "You never can vouch for your own consciousness." - Norman Mailer
