BP3
I'd say that Bob Donnelly deserves the credit more than the NY AG. Good job all around!
fantasticsound
Whoa! The article is, perhaps, the worst bit of reporting I've ever read! 50 million dollars is or will be returned to deserving artists and bands in chunks far less than $250,000 and the report fails to mention any details regarding how this came to light in the first place, how it blossomed into a suit involving upwards of 500 groups by several record companies, and how they intend to hold the companies involved accountable for future royalties. Is this what passes for informed reporting these days? It's easiest to find me on Facebook. Neil Bergman Soundclick fntstcsnd
coyote
It's the Daily News. They compete with the New York Post.... don't expect much depth from either paper, as they appeal to the LCD of their respective political spectra (News=Liberal; Post=Conservative). Until I saw their platform; now I know I'm no more Libertarian than I am RepubliCrat or neoCON or Liberal or Socialist. This ain't no track meet; this is football. george costanza
I guess I'll need to look elsewhere for this info but I hope there's no "small print" releasing companies from further liability if they make only minimal effort to contact or pay those owed---something that's often the case when cases are settled by striking "deals" rather than legal judgements. One also wonders what effect this might have on situations or cases not directly cited in the "deal".
