Rim
Anyone ever bought sheet music online? Not just purchasing the paper copy, but downloading an electronic file after you buy it. Right now, I only need sheet music for particular songs and not looking for songbooks. Did search on the Internet and this one looks promising: http://www.musicnotes.com Before plopping down my money, just wanted to check with you folks to see if any of you used musicnotes or can recommend something else. Duddits
wondering the same thing myself. A contact at Hal Leonard recommended: http://www.musictime.com/ I ordered some stuff -- waiting for it to arrive. Dooby Dooby Doo
Rim
With the musicnotes site, I can download the sheet music immediately, which is very attractive to me. But I need to install their software to be able to view and print the sheet music. I do understand this though, cuz if they offered the file in a format like PDF, then there would be a big risk of file sharing. aka riffing Double Post music: Strip Down http://rimspeed.com http://loadedtheband.com
Base
The only one I've ever used is Sheet Music Direct but they only let you print a one-off copy of the music, so may not be what you are really looking for. Another alternative is Power Tab (can't find the site at the moment tho). This is free, as it is all sheet music submitted by people, not the official versions, but the software make it a lot clearer to read than the usual free tab sites that are thrown up in Wordpad or something... Rim
I decided to just go ahead and try their free preview. It looked ok (though not in the key I want but I can transpose). The weird thing is, it says the electronic version is not available for US and Canada. The web site's explanation is: "Due to licensing restrictions and rights management reasons, this digital sheet music title is only available for purchase in the designated area(s)." Frustrating. aka riffing Double Post music: Strip Down http://rimspeed.com http://loadedtheband.com
