aellison62
I have been looking for an Apple app to use for downloading popular song charts from 70s thru current. I see Ireal pro in the App Store. Does that have the capability/availability to give me these types of songs? What app does anyone here use to do this? Any suggestions would be great! marczellm
iReal Pro has no sheet music, only chord progressions, but for that it's awesome Quote Life is subtractive.Genres: Jazz, funk, pop, Christian worship, BebHop Wishlist: 80s-ish (synth)pop, symph pop, prog rock, fusion, musical theatre Gear: NS2 + JUNO-G. StanC
I use MuseScore. Bucktunes
An app called forScore works well for me. +1. I also use the MusicNotes app that displays everything that I've bought from them, so I don't have to print them out. ForScore enables me to import those charts so I can use my BlueTurn foot switch to turn pages. I also have IRealB loaded up with songs. It only gives you the form and chord changes, but you can edit those changes. You can also easily transpose any song to any key, which is a lifesaver for working with different singers. Then I don't have to be tempted to use the transpose function on the keyboard! Quote ><> Steve
aellison62
By charts I mean lead sheet type music that gives me chords, melody, song structure, enough to be able to navigate a song after having listened to it and selected appropriate keyboard sounds. Ideally, I'd like to be able to purchase the chart for any given song, if available, via this app. Quote Kurzweil Forte 7, Mojo 61, Yamaha P-125, Kronos X61, Nautilus
Sam CA
An app called forScore works well for me. Me too. It pairs with Bluetooth page turner. It has metronome and tuner. You can customize and re-arrange pages and more! Quote www.youtube.com/c/InTheMixReviews

aellison62
Well it looks like Forscore is very well liked and used. To the users of this app, are you able to purchase/ download music straight from this app? If you are not doing that, where are you getting your music from to import into this app? Sam CA
I've never bought sheet music through this app. If I already own the actual hard copy, I use 'ScanPro' app to scan and import that into ForScore. All other methods work as well, as it can read pdf files. Quote www.youtube.com/c/InTheMixReviews
Ulf
As others have suggested, forScore is more or less the standard music reader on iOS. Since I'm (mostly) using Android, I have Fakebook Pro on my phone and tabled. Really happy with it; kind of the best of forScore and iReal in one app (though it still doesn't do the Band-in-the-box magic that iReal does).
