Kawai ATX2 effect on acoustic playability ?

I have a good deal on a Kawai K300 ATX2 but am unable to try compare with a non ATX2 model.

Does anyone here know how much effect the ATX2 system has on the acoustic playability of the instrument ?

It seemed fine but Im a beginner and did not have a non ATX2 to compare with.

Also the high notes seemed quite soft and not very dynamic (in acoustic mode) - the salesman told me this is normal for new instruments and that the tone will brighten over time as the felt on the hammers is compressed.
