srcohiba
Can anyone suggest either a stand or stands where I can have a 4 space rack on the bottom and a 76 key Modx7 board on top? I use the rack for power and for the iMidi 4x4 Connect which connects to my iPad which I use with iMidiPatchBay for patches/set lists/lead sheets/lyrics. Any suggestions on how I can configure this setup?
wjwilcox
Standtastic stands have rack-mount adapters that can go above or below a keyboard. Quote www.wjwcreative.com www.linkedin.com/in/wjwilcox
miden
Standtastic stands have rack-mount adapters that can go above or below a keyboard. Had a look at their website under keyboard stands - no attachments for such a thing is there? Quote There is no luck - luck is simply the confluence of circumstance and co-incidence... hardware
Theres rack attachments but they require your legs are 20 inches apart which doesnt seem very stable. Id but a Quik-Lok WS 550, set the 4U on top, then lay your board across it. Try and but OPS ATA Cases. Heres one raised high, the other at the end of my K4 is set low. OPS Racks are a perfect fit and theyre 20 x 15. Just dont use those SKB slippery ass molded ATAs. Theres also one under all of the ATAs on the left. stoken6
Help me understand wjwilcox: - do you sit or stand to play? - do you want the front of the rack flush with the front edge of your keyboard? If so, the rack is either going to bash your knees or the board is going to be rather high? - do you want to recess the rack so it's under the board, but the front of the rack is further back behind the front edge of the board? If so, how about a two-tier stand reversed, and a shelf for the rack? - Why not just put the rack on the floor? Do you need to reach rack controls while playing? Cheers, Mike. Though not sure how stable the keyboard would be on top of the rack. With that stand, it also seems possible to have the rack below the keyboard on the floor; I don't need to access the items in the rack live (just need enough room for the cable to reach from the iMidi to the iPad which I have in front of me (wish they had longer USB to lighting cables; the only ones I could find are the ones that iconnectivity sells). srcohiba
I just went to the Quicklok forum and evidently they have these shelf attachments which can be added to their Z-stand. According to their website it states: Shelf Depth: 18.3" - 46.5cm Shelf Width: 30" - 76cm Shelf Thickness: 18mm Weight capacity: 90lb - 40kg Weight: 13.3 lb - 6kg This might just do the trick. Marzzz
Yeah, that is a Quiklok Z-726L stand with a ZM-91 4 space rack accessory. They also made a ZM-93 6-space rack. http://www.quiklok.com/catalog/?p=productsMore&iProduct=192&sName=ZM-91 I still have the stand, and Quiklok still makes it. Voyager long gone, now a Minimoog Reissue.
